Upper and plug are of 7-8 oz. bullhide, for maximum durability in a leather sole. A unique comfort factor is the piece of leather across the top of the plug which shields the instep from the leather lace. The lace can be tightened to fit close without ever cutting into your skin. The bottom sole is replaceable for even more years of service. The toe and heel are hand-stitched.
